Rene J. Mignault, 90, of Lawrence, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Wingate Nursing home, Andover.
He was born in Lawrence, where he grew up and attended schools, and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Mignault was a machine operator for Sealtest Ice Cream. After his retirement, Rene worked as a groundskeeper for Indian Ridge Golf Club in Andover.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence and enjoyed the Postal Union Bowling League, golfing for the Vagabond Golf League, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris M. (Desrosiers) Mignault of Lawrence; two daughters, Claire and her husband William Bodenrader of Lawrence, Janet and her husband Alan Phair of Salem, N.H.; sister, Blanche LeGere of Ludlow; four grandchildren, Coleen (Bodenrader) wife of Robert Scharn, Karen (Bodenrader) wife of Kenneth Serverius, Melanie (Phair) wife of James Scharn, and Christopher Phair and his wife Michele; five great-grandchildren, Hayley, Kathryn, Matthew, Kiara and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem, N.H. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover. Eugene J. Gaumont, 87, died peacefully Sunday, February. 17, 2008 at his daughter's home in Haverhill, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Lawrence, where he grew up and attended St. Joseph's School. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and attended Merrimack College and M.I.T.
He was a resident of Salem for the past 36 years, formerly of Lawrence.
Mr. Gaumont was a retired electronic engineer for Raytheon Corp. in Andover and Bedford.
He was a devoted Catholic and a dedicated.member of St. Joseph Church and the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Peterson Council, both in Salem.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.
Eugene savored long summers at Lake Winnipesauke with his family. He was a boating and fishing enthusiast. He enjoyed reading, working around the house, and was a licensed ham radio operator.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Pauline Berube. He is survived by his wife of 60 years,.Jacqueline (Mathon) Gaumont of Salem, N.H.; one son, Andre Gaumont of Salem; two daughters, Renee and her husband Ron Dube of Haverhill, Denise P. and her husband Michael J. Faucher of Salem; son-in-law, Richard Berube of New Jersey; two brothers, John "Bob" Gaumont of Gilford, N.H., Samuel Gaumont of Oregon; four sisters, Theresa Martineau of Methuen, Cecile Soucy-Lescarbeau of Methuen, Jeanne Bienvenue of Arizona, Annette Lescarbeau of Florida; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Donald Boland, 79, of Salem, NH, died Sunday February 10, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.
He was born in Lowell, MA, where he grew up and attended schools and graduated from St. Peter's High School. He later received an Associates Degree from St. Anselm's College in Manchester, NH. He was a resident of Salem for the past 57 years.
Mr. Boland was a retired patrolman and a prosecutor for the Salem Police Department, where he worked for 40 years. He also worked for Rockingham Honda in Salem. He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem.
He was a founder and member of the Knights of Columbus #4442, the Bishop Peterson Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was past president of the Southern NH Crime Line, member of the Mass Crime Prevention, past president of the Salem Kiwanis, and a member of the Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Boland was a US Navy veteran, serving during World War II and was a member and past 2nd Vice Commander of the AMVETS Post #2 in Salem. He was also an active volunteer in the town of Salem.
Don was predeceased by a daughter Arlene Boland. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Olga (Gielazauskas) Boland of Salem. Son: Capt. Donald J. & his Wife Dorothy Boland (USN) of Woodbridge, VA. Daughter: Patricia & her Husband Richard O'Brien of Shrewsbury, MA. Brother: Frank & his Wife Georgette Boland of Lowell, MA. Sister: Blanche Krawczyk of Florida. 6 Grandchildren: D.J. & his wife Kelly Boland of Morgantown, WV, Ensign Adam Boland (USN), Midshipman Brian Boland (USN), Lance Corporal Michael O'Brien, & Colleen O'Brien. Several Nieces & Nephews.

Warren H. Parsons, 80, of Salem, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Warren was born on Feb. 21, 1927 in Lowell to Harold T. and Cornelia (Tobey) Parsons. He attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School.
Warren was a 4th degree knight of the Salem Knights of Columbus. He attended Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, N.H. He was a member of the Raytheon Golf Team in Lowell for 31 years. Warren was active with the St. Joseph's Church in Salem, N.H.; volunteered at bingo at Central Catholic High School and St. Joseph's Church.
Warren worked for Raytheon Company in Lowell, as a planning manager for 31 years retiring in 1987 and then worked as a consultant for two years.
Mr. Parsons is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Illingworth) Parsons of Salem, N.H.; daughter, Patti and husband Anthony J. Longo; son, Garrett A. and wife Laura E. Parsons; son, Michael Patrick and wife Denise Parsons; son, Robert Warren Parsons and companion Tammy Temple; grandchildren, Anthony J. Longo Jr., Christina Longo, Dmitry Thomas, Mikhail Warren, Pavel James, Anya Alexa, Harold Talbot, Abigail, Robert Warren and Jenna Alexia; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. John Joseph Howell beloved husband, and father of three, died early Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, N.H. He was 79 years old.
John was the son of the late Mary (Murphy) and John Arthur Howell, he was born in Lawrence in 1927. A 1945 graduate of Lawrence High School, John enlisted in the US Navy in the waning days of WWII. He served mostly on battleships assigned to the Mediterranean traveling many places including Greece and Italy. He crossed the equator several times and made port throughout the Caribbean, Central and South America as well. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the Navy Occupation Medal (Europe). He was honorably discharged in 1948. In November of that same year, he married Eileen (Murphy) Howell. They shared 58 years together.
A graduate of the Waltham Watch Company's Watch Making School, John had planned to enter that profession, but eventually decided on a more secure living for his growing family. He went on to enjoy 37.5 year career at Western Electric from where he retired in 1989.
While he was a long time resident of Salem, N.H., most recently Atkinson, he and Eileen retired to Florida in 1990. Together, they enjoyed 12 sunshine filled years before returning to NH in 2000 to be closer to family. He was an avid golfer, and played several rounds a week until just five months before his passing. He was a member of the American Legion in Florida, the Knights of Columbus # 4442 in Salem, and the Bishop Peterson Assembly #0641, and St. Ann's Parish in Hampstead, N.H.
John will be gratefully remembered as a quiet man, gifted with a quick wit and sense of humor. He would freely give of himself or his time to those in need, never asking for anything in return. He was a great provider for his family. John was handy with anything mechanical, and was always available to give advice and share the benefit of his experience and wealth of knowledge with others.
When a loved one becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. More words cannot express how deeply he will be missed.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter Jennifer Rizkallah who passed away in 2002. He is survived by his Wife Eileen (Murphy) Howell of Atkinson; two daughters, Patricia and her husband Dave Rizkallah of Derry, N.H. and Judy and her husband Don Worthington of Windham; a son, John C. (Jack) and his wife Kate Howell of Haverhill; two sisters, Mary Timothy of North Andover and Claire Powell of Lawrence; grandchildren, Jason Shikrallah of Salem, David M. Rizkallah of Derry, and Adam Worthington of Derry; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Shane Shikrallah; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert C. "Bob" Bryant, of Salem, N.H., died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, after a severe stroke. He was 77.
Bob was born in Somerville, the son of the late Fred and Barbara Bryant, and Edith (Littlefield) and Elmer Taylor. He was a graduate of Somerville Vocational High School, Class of 1946, and a successful salesman of industrial electronic components for DeMambro, Arrow Electronics, Cramer Electronics and Bell Industries (from which he retired in 1994).
Bob recently celebrated his 50th year with the Knights of Columbus, where he developed deep friendships with his fellow Knights. He was a former grand knight and active member of Salem Council 4442. His Knights of Columbus affiliation started in Somerville with Council 75, where he served as a former grand knight and active member. He was a parishioner of St. Monica's Church in Methuen for 20 years, and a former parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Salem, and St. Ann's Church in Somerville.
Bob was predeceased by his son, David of Salisbury, N.H. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan (Comeau) Bryant; sons and their wives, Gene and Kelly of Salem, Robert and Karen of Salem, Alan and Terry of Somersworth, N.H., and Kenneth and Dorothy of Pembroke, N.H.; daughter-in-law, Donna of Salisbury, N.H.; and daughters and their husbands, Karen and Joseph Leonard of Salem, and Diane and Gary Kierstead of Raymond, N.H. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Krzywicki of Manchester; 17 of his 19 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by grandsons, Sean Taylor Bryant and Mark Alan Bryant. He is also survived by many extended family members and countless friends with whom he had close bonds.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Monica's Church, Methuen. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, N.H. Sir Knight Martin C. Down passed away in early July. At a Memorial Mass held on July 30th, Brother Knights from the Bishop Peterson Assembly and others provided an honor guard for our departed brother. Marty as he was most known, was a regular active member of our Council and will be dearly missed.

A Charter member of our Council and a 4th degree member of our Assembly, Harold Cummings, 83 died on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at his home. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish. He is survived by sons, Alan, Gary and his wife Penny of Salem, Brian of Raymond NH and daughter Eileen Cummings of Salem. Brother Howard Palmer passed away and is being waked at Peabody Funeral Parlor in Derry on Sunday January 4th, from 2 - 4 P.M. Evangeline Palmer has requested HONOR GUARD for Howard. A funeral will be held Monday January 5th.
Mrs Palmer wishes to convey to all the Knights, her sincere thank you. She said that our presence at the wake will be in her Heart forever. Knowing that Howard, was part of a meaningful and wonderful organization made a difference to Mrs. Palmer.
She also wanted to thank us, knowing that the Regalia Howard wore, would be used proudly by our Assembly . She was very happy to hear, that thanks to Wil Bamford, we would engrave Howard's name on his sword.

Robert W. Dew, 60, died Monday June 30 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Mass. He was an accountant at Borden in Columbus, Ohio, and worked at Cains in Ayer, Mass.
Born and educated in Nanticoke, Pa., he graduated from Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, Pa., with a master's in business administration. He lived in Salem for the past two years, formerly living in Lowell, Mass.
Mr. Dew was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem and a Fourth Degree Knight of the Bishop Peterson Council 4442 in Salem and the Bishop Peterson Assembly 0641.
He leaves wife Dorothy (Matty) Dew of Salem; daughter Tracey and her husband Thomas McBrine of North Attleboro, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

Alfred Couture, 69, died Tuesday May 27 at home. He was a chef at Thompson's restaurant for 37 years and worked in maintenance at Film Microelectronics before retiring in 1998.
Mr. Couture was a Fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4442 in Salem, N.H.
He leaves wife of 48 years Helen (Bamford) Couture; daughters Denice Lafond and her husband Paul of Methuen and Deborah Spinney of Lawrence; son Joseph and his wife Susan of Lawrence; brothers Ernest of Holyoke and Raymond of Colorado; sister Anne Reed of Kansas; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Joseph R. Rivet, 87, died Tuesday morning July 30, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Mass. Mr. Rivet was a tool and die maker for Sylvania Corp. in Salem, Mass., until he retired.
He was born and educated in Lawrence, Mass. He lived in Salem, N.H., for 62 years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Peterson Council 4442 in Salem and served as Grand Knight from 1964 to 1966, as well as treasurer. He was a charter member of the Council and was elected Knight of the Year in 1983. He was also a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Bishop Peterson Assembly 0641.
Mr. Rivet was a member of St. Joseph's Church.
The widower of Mary D. (Lynch) Rivet, he leaves sons and daughters-in-law Joseph R. Jr. and Kathleen of Salem and James and Elizabeth of Barrington; brother Paul of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Mary Ann Rivet.
